Edward Norton has lost interest in watching movies and plays in a theater after a creepy experience with a rat left him squirming in his seat.
The American History X star headed out to a cinema near his home in New York City to watch Oscars sensation The King's Speech but was stunned to see a vicious-looking rodent scarpering around the auditorium.
And he admits the unsettling experience has put him off watching films at a movie theater because he feels more comfortable at home.
Norton tells Britain's Guardian Guide magazine, "I'm not particularly precious about the theatrical experience any more. I still love it, but my experience equates with a lot of other people.
"I went to see The King's Speech, and there's been this plague of bed bugs in New York City, with people getting them off the movie theater seats, so I was thinking about that and then a rat ran across the aisle! I sat there thinking, ';I could be watching this at home!'"
