Tonight is the season 2 premiere of ABC Family's hit comedy "Melissa & Joey."
In the premiere episode, "Enemies with Benefits," Joe is excited for his upcoming date, but when he reveals to Mel it's with his ex-wife, Tiffany (Megan Hilty), who dumped him and broke his heart after he lost his fortune, Mel and the kids see trouble on the horizon. Tiffany immediately tries to befriend Mel and confides she is pregnant. Mel begrudgingly promises to keep the info between them, but is stricken with guilt and tells Joe the big news. Much to Mel's shock, Joe confesses that the child might be his. Mel begins to question her own feelings for Joe as the two discuss the reality that Joe may soon be a father.
Taylor Spreitler, who plays "Lennox" on the show, dropped by our studio this week to give us the scoop on the new season. "Season 2 is definitely a lot crazier," Taylor told us. "We get more comfortable with each other and Aunt Mel and I get in to some more trouble. Most episodes are like boys vs girls, like who can get into more trouble yet keep it a secret at the same time. We kind of have this little rivalry going on."
Taylor also promises that there are some great guest stars this season including Matthew Lawrence, Andrew Lawrence, and Vivica A. Fox. "We have all the Lawrence brothers which is pretty cool but they're not in the same episode. Only one of them plays Joey's brother. So it was kind of cool to see them play brothers then the other one comes in and they play like they don't really like each other."
Taylor also told us about how Lennox has changed this season, embarrassing moments, and if she's been given advice from Melissa Joan Hart or Joey Lawrence.
You can catch "Melissa & Joey" on ABC Family on Wednesdays at 8pm EST.
