Country singer Faith Hill is to play a free concert in New Orleans, Louisiana later this month to mark the fifth anniversary of the Hurricane Katrina disaster which devastated the region in 2005.
The massive stormed wreaked havoc across the state, flooding great swathes and leading to massive loss of life. Thousands of people were also left homeless after the disaster and the effects are still being felt today.
Hill is planning to mark five years since the storm hit by performing at the Mahalia Jackson Theater in New Orleans, which was destroyed during the hurricane and later rebuilt.
The gig will take place on August 24 and tickets will be distributed through local radio stations.
