Probably the most quotable movie in history is in talks for a sequel. Well, it was anyway. 'Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy' was a cult hit among moviegoers on its release in 2004 and director Adam McKay wants to bring the comedy back for a follow-up.
Is anyone else squealing like a lunatic right now? Please bring back Ron Burgundy!
Unfortunately, the big guys over at Paramount nixed the idea due to financial issues. Luckily, the man who played Ron Burgundy, Will Ferrel is urging fans of the film to voice their opinion to the studio in hopes of bringing the dimwitted news man back to the silver screen, "We want to make it but now it doesn't look like it's going to happen. Maybe the fans should write in to the studio and get something changed because it's not looking good.
"We were ready to go after they had wanted the movie made, then it was basically like, ';Yeah! Do it for 20 dollars!' So right now it's kind of like the ball is in their court."
Would you like to see an Anchorman sequel?
