LADY GAGA has been forced to scrap her upcoming gigs in Paris at the weekend (Oct 22-24) due to strikes which have crippled the French capital.
Over one million citizens have taken to the streets in protest of President Nicolas Sarkozy's plans to raise the nation's retirement age from 60 to 62, and the demonstrations have led to severe public transport delays and petrol shortages.
The disruption has now caused the Poker Face hitmaker to postpone her Monster Ball shows in France until December.
A statement posted on her website reads, "Unfortunately, as there is no certainty that the trucks can make it to the Bercy (area in Paris) for this weekend's shows, the Lady Gaga performances are now postponed. Lady Gaga apologises to her fans for any inconvenience."
The shows have been rescheduled for December 19th and 20th.
