Oh no! I hate to break the news to all of you Glee-hopefuls, but the American Idol-type reality show planned to cast three new roles in the next season of Glee was canceled.

The reason given is Ryan Murphy, Glee creator, decided he doesn't want to begin a new show while he should be focusing on Glee.

But what about all of those Myspace auditions?

Fear not auditionees, Vulture explains that apparently you still have some hope,

While the reality show is dead, Murphy and his producing team still plan on choosing several winners from the online casting competition and giving them a spot on Glee (at least for one episode). In a way, it's win-win: You get to sing on the show, but you don't have to have to be exploited by a reality-TV crew in the process.

How do you Gleeks feel about this news?
