Idina Menzel has apologized to fans for cancelling a string of concerts to shoot more episodes of "Glee."

The singer/actress, who plays the mother of Lea Michele's character Rachel, has called off her November tour dates to accommodate the hit TV series' filming schedule. There are no plans to reschedule the gigs but Menzel hopes her devotees will understand her decision.

In a post on her website, she writes, "Friends, as many of you know I am extremely excited about returning to "Glee," yet it comes with one drawback, which is that due to my filming schedule I will have to cancel a majority of my upcoming November tour dates, which I am so disappointed about.

"I hope you can understand. I was truly looking forward to seeing all of you and will do my best to make it up to you as soon as I can."

We're excited to see Idina return to "Glee"!
