Words can't express how excited this Cambio editor is for this. Check out the newly-released cover for ';Insurgent' by Veronica Roth, the follow-up book to ';Divergent.'
EW unveiled the cover Friday and also caught up with Roth about the next book. Here's what she had to say about the plot of the new book, which picks up exactly where the last one left off.
"I can't say much because there's very little I can reveal without spoiling everything," she said. "But I will say that the factions there were not featured in ';Divergent' will have a more prominent role in Insurgent, and that readers will learn more about Tobias' history. But essentially, the book is about consequences. The repercussions of what Tris did, and what Jeanine did at the end of the first book, in particular."
The dystopian novel follows a heroine, Tris (Beatrice) who lives in a society where teens have to choose "factions" to join that determine the jobs they have as adults. Tris surprises her family and friends and joins the most dangerous faction, Dauntless, a total departure from the one she was raised in, and has to go through a grueling initiation process in the first book. Tris has a secret though and she also starts to learn secrets about the society she lives in. We won't give anything away, but if you're fans of Suzanne Collins' "The Hunger Games" or "Delirium" by Lauren Oliver, you really want to to check out this series.
