Hey everyone! If any of you guys are like me you absolutely love to read. Reading gives us the opportunity to imagine and learn and Cambio is all about encouraging this as a hobby for all of you avid readers and maybe not-so-avid readers so we're starting a book of the month.

Here's how it's going to work. Every month I will ask for suggestions for a book (so be sure to follow me on twitter) then throughout the month we will have various discussions about the book. You can talk about what you loved, what you hated, what surprised you and what you want to happen next.

This month since none of you knew about this I had to choose a book for the first month. Being a total book worm I chose one of my favorite books, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. A friend of mine suggested this book and though science fiction is not usually my style I decided to give this book a try. Whether you're a fan of science fiction or more like a romance novel fan like me (no worries there IS enough romance) you won't be able to put this book down once you've started reading.

Set in the future, Katniss is a 16-year-old girl living with her mother and younger sister in the poorest district of Panem, the remains of what used be the United States. Long ago the districts waged war on the Capitol and were defeated. As part of the surrender terms, each district agreed to send one boy and one girl to appear in an annual televised event called, "The Hunger Games." The terrain, rules, and level of audience participation may change but one thing is constant: kill or be killed. When Kat's sister is chosen by lottery, Kat steps up to go in her place.

Join me this month and read (or re-read) this fantastic book! Be on the lookout for discussions and don't forget to keep eye out for future book of the month suggestions!
