Hundreds of frenzied Justin Bieber fans battled through the rain in New York on Friday morning, blocking city streets for a chance to meet the singer ahead of a U.S. TV appearance.
Traffic in the Big Apple was brought to a standstill as thousands of fans crowded the streets around Rockefeller Plaza in wet conditions in anticipation of the 16-year-old's appearance on the Today Show. Bieber was shown walking between barricades signing autographs and greeting screaming teens as he made his way to the TV studio, where he talked about his burgeoning music career.
And the singer is grateful for his fans' dedication after learning they queued for hours on the day after Thanksgiving to secure prime spots outside the glass studio, where they could see the singer chatting with a talk show host, who admitted he'd caused "quite a scene". Bieber replied with a humble "Thank you".
Later in the day, Justin signed copies of his book at Barnes & Noble on 5th Avenue. His acoustic album, My World Acoustic is now also available in Wal-Mart.
