Before we all get our hopes up and add the ability to slam dunk to our list of why we love Justin Timberlake I am going to have to mark that one off quick because it is apparently untrue. As much as we'd all like to believe Justin can dunk he admitted the dunk was manipulated by lowering the basket.

Timberlake convinced producers behind his forthcoming movie Friends With Benefits to lower the height of the basketball ring for one sporty scene so he could pull off a slam dunk convincingly.

The singer/actor stars alongside Woody Harrelson, Mila Kunis and Emma Stone in the new romantic comedy and the two male stars had to shoot part of their storyline on a basketball court in New York.

Paparazzi snapped Timberlake in action and one shot shows him dunking the ball through the net.
But Timberlake, who stands at six feet, one inch tall, confesses he isn't as good as the images suggest.

He says, "I think they lowered it (the ring) to about eight or nine (feet). I can jump, but I can't jump that high."

What do you think?
