Justin Timberlake will be honored for his charity work and dedication to environmental issues at Saturday's Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards.
The singer-turned-actor is a longtime supporter of Shriners Hospitals for Children and has turned his love of golf into an annual fundraising event to raise money for needy kids.
His luxury golf resort, Mirimichi, in his native Memphis, Tennessee has also won accolades as a top eco-friendly retreat after relaunching in September. And Timberlake's efforts have landed him a top award at this weekend's Los Angeles ceremony.
In a statement issued to People.com, Timberlake says, "I was inspired at a young age by my parents and family to do everything possible to give back to the world around us and it has become a mission of mine to help kids of all ages understand the importance of getting involved in their communities and local charities and doing their part to preserve the planet."
