Katy Perry and Taylor Swift have landed themselves another VMA nomination. MTV just announced a new category – "Best Video With a Message."

Perry scored nine nods when the nominations were officially announced on July 20, but now MTV bosses have added one more.

Perry's "Firework" will go up against videos for Eminem and Rihanna's "Love The Way You Lie," Pink's "F**king Perfect," "Make it Stop (September's Children)" by Rise Against, Taylor Swift's "Mean," and "Born This Way" by Lady Gaga when the awards are handed out in Los Angeles on August 28.

Swift was super excited about her nomination. She tweeted, "Wait, what?! The ';Mean' video got nominated for a VMA!! BEYOND excited. If you feel like voting…… MTV.com :) :) :)"
