Keith Urban's promotional tour for his new album gathered steam on Tuesday when he performed two surprise shows at train stations along the East Coast.

The country rocker is just released his new album, Get Closer, yesterday and pulled into New York's Penn Station to put on an impromptu gig for commuters. Afterwards, he headed onto Philadelphia, Pennsylvania's 30th Street Station and played another six songs for a huge crowd.

Urban then hopped on a train to perform an acoustic set for 50 fans who had won a competition. Before his bizarre gig, the star told People.com, "I've never performed on a train. I'm not even sure how I'll be able to stand!"
