We've heard of concert cancellations due to overcrowding, weather, and illness, but Kings of Leon recently had their concert shut down due to pigeon's poop.

Apparently a slew of the dirty birds were hanging around in the rafters of St. Louis' Verizon Amphitheatre and began their aerial attack on the group once the show started.

Andy Mendelsohn of Vector Management said, "Jared [Followill, the band's bassist] was hit several times during the first two songs. It's not only disgusting – it's a toxic health hazard. They really tried to hang in there."

Jared Followill says "I was hit by pigeons on each of the first three songs. We had 20 songs on the set list. By the end of the show, I would have been covered from head to toe. The last thing I was going to do was look up, but if that was only a couple, we must have caught them right after a big Thanksgiving dinner."

After the cancellation, the band released a statement, "We want to apologize to our fans in St. Louis and will come back as soon as we can."
