Who could forget the oh-so-catchy song "Summer Girls" from the boyband LFO?

For fans of the 90's boyband, it's a sad day. Lead singer Rich Cronin has passed away. According to Zap2it, Chris Kirkpatrick and Lance Bass updated their statuses on facebook and twitter today to say, respectively: "Rip to a great friend rich c." and "Sad sad day that Rich Cronin died- was a amazing guy. : ("

Rich, who was most recently seen on VH1's "Mission: Man Band," had battled acute myelogenous leukemia since 2005, going into remission several times since. He started the Rich Cronin Hope Foundation to spread awareness and encourage people to register to become bone marrow donors.

LFO was responsible for pop hits like "Summer Girls," "Girl on TV," and "Every Other Time." Rich re-wrote their song "6 Minutes," from their Life Is Good album, for the Jonas Brothers' debut album, It's About Time.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Rich's family and friends.
