Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg has finally given movie The Social Network his blessing, revealing he even organized a company outing to see the "fun" film.

The picture tells the story of how Zuckerberg set up the hugely popular website while studying at Harvard University and it is already being tipped for success at the upcoming Academy Awards.

Zuckerberg was rumored to have been unhappy with some aspects of the film and reportedly contacted producers to ask for changes before the official release. But the internet mogul, who is portrayed by Jesse Eisenberg in The Social Network, admits that although movie bosses got some things wrong, he is happy with the overall result and even took all his employees to the cinema to see the film.

He says, "We took the whole company to go see the movie. I actually thought it was pretty fun. It's pretty interesting to see what parts they got right and what parts they got wrong. I think that they got every single t-shirt that they had the Mark Zuckerberg character wearing right. And they got sandals right and all that.

"But I mean, there are hugely basic things that they got wrong, too. They made it seem like my whole motivation for building Facebook was so I could get girls."
