As we reported yesterday, Nick Jonas' role as "Marius" in Les Misérables has been extended by two weeks.

The 17-year-old recently sat down with the New York Times to talk about the musical. Les Misérables was actually the first musical the JoBro ever auditioned for when he was 7. He was offered a part in the traveling production but had to decline due to Mrs. Jonas being pregnant with youngest brother Frankie.

Nick eventually did find his way to Les Misérables after performing in other musicals like "Annie Get Your Gun" and "Beauty and the Beast."

On Broadway: Broadway was where I first started finding my voice as an artist and finding my feet as an actor, and the idea of returning to ';Les Miz' was about trying to develop more as an actor.

On Love: I don't know if I've had love at first sight like Marius has – if you think of his experience as 100 percent, I've probably had 50 percent of that, The instant love, whole world stops thing, I don't know that I've ever really had that moment, so I try to imagine what it would be, and I think my youthfulness might help in that. I think I'm pretty wide-eyed up there.

On Doing More Theater: [Theater is] a touchstone of where I began, and a world I love being a part of. If the right role comes along, I'd certainly return to doing a musical or even a play. I'm 17. I feel like I have a lot of music in me, and now I remember how much fun it is to tap into that music while being in a show.

Nick will be in Les Misérables on the West End in London until July 24. He will also be in the special 25th Anniversary show in October.
