This Thursday, President Obama will be making TV history.

The president will be a guest on "The View," marking the first time that a sitting president has visited a daytime talk show. The interview will tape on Wednesday.

"We are so pleased and honored that President Obama will be a guest on ';The View,'" creator and executive producer Barbara Walters says. "The president last appeared on the program in March 2008 while he was still a senator, and First Lady Michelle Obama was a featured guest co-host in June 2008."

The show will also mark Walters' first in-studio appearance since she underwent surgery to replace a heart valve in May. According to Zap2it, the president's interview will touch on the economy, the Gulf oil disaster and several other topics, including his family life at the White House.
