Watch out "Gossip Girl," you may have some competition coming soon!
According to Deadline, the CW has emerged as the leading candidate to develop The Carrie Diaries, a TV series project based on "Sex and the City" author Candice Bushnell's recent book about Bradshaw's high school years.
Talks are still in preliminary stages, but "Gossip Girl" executive producers Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage are reportedly being pursued to spearhead the project. "Discussions are underway for The Carrie Diaries, Candice Bushnell's book about Carrie Bradshaw's high school years, to find a home as a potential television series," HBO said in a statement.
Sounds like it could be interesting! There were rumors in the past that Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez were being asked to be a part of the prequel. If this happens, we can't wait to see who will be casted.
