Now Superman's belting out show tunes. Dallas revived the 1966 Broadway show "It's a Bird… It's a Plane… It's Superman!"

The new Man of Steel musical is no joke. With an $800,000 budget and and 24 person cast, including "West Side Story's" leading man, Matt Cavenaugh, it's bound to be quite the spectacle.

The new revival has a new spin: The NY Times reports that black actors portray the roles of Lois, Superman's father, Jor-El, and Daily Planet Editor-in-Chief Perry White.

The creative team has high hopes for the show to bring it all the way to the big apple where it could go head-to-head with the new webslinging musical, Spiderman. Is there room for two superhero's on Broadway?

Reviews have been positive. What do you think?
