Congrats to the cast and crew of ABC Family's "Switched at Birth"!

The show has been given a back order of 22 episodes. The Summer finale will air on August 8 and then the show will return in early 2012.

"Switched at Birth" was ABC Family's most-watched series debut ever with 3.3 million total viewers (1.3 million in the key 18-49 demo) tuning in for its June premiere. Not only that, but the show has earned multiple Teen Choice Award nominations and Constance Marie just earned an ALMA nomination.

In tonight's new episode "Paradise Lost," which airs at 9pm EST, it is Bay and Daphne's birthday, and the Kennishes have decided to buy each daughter a car. While Bay is excited, Daphne is apprehensive about allowing them to shower her with a gift she knows her mother, Regina, could never afford. After Regina's been hiding out at Melody's house for a few days, she hopes to return home to celebrate the girls' birthdays together with the Kennishes. Meanwhile, Bay and Emmett's relationship is blossoming, but like most things, has been kept a secret.

We recently had Katie Leclerc from the show in our studio. Check out her interview below.
