Watch out Pottermore, The Hunger Games is right on your trail!

In hopes to create viral excitement, Lionsgate has launched "The Capitol Site," a new interactive site for The Hunger Games. The launch of the site, follows the news that director Gary Ross has decided to have the film be told from multiple perspectives, not just Katniss'. In an interview with MTV, Ross said:

"That's one of the fun things about it. There are times when you're viscerally inside [Jennifer Lawrence's] shoes, and that's the main experience. And there are other times when you're witnessing her the way they're witnessing her in the Game-and she's constantly being watched, which is one of the things that makes the book so compelling. But it's mainly an intense first-person experience, inside Katniss' shoes."

The Capitol site features a countdown to the games, a breakdown of the districts, and the opportunity for the visitor to secure their very own District Identification Pass (DIP). Fans can check out the site here and register via twitter or facebook.

The Hunger Games opens March 23rd, 2012.

What district did you get? Are you excited about the movie?
