Are they going overboard with these 3D movies?

It was recently announced that James Cameron is in the process of converting one of his and the industry's biggest movies, Titanic, to 3D. The movie is set for an April 2012 release. The release is to coincide with the 100th Anniversary of the sinking of the Titanic.

In other Titanic news, actress Gloria Stuart, who played elderly Rose, turned 100 yesterday! Cameron said of the actress, "Gloria's so alive, and her creativity, her artistry and the sparkle in her eyes is a challenge to all of us to live as fully and richly as she has and will continue to do as she heads into her 101st year. We all love you, Gloria, and not just because about half of the people in this room are the direct or indirect product of your loins."

Are you excited for the re-release of Titanic? Should they keep it in 2D or make it 3D?
