This weekend, the Paramount Backlot was overflowing with some of today's hottest young stars.
Variey's annual Power of Youth event took place on Sunday and honored 5 young stars who are helping make a difference. Power of Youth is an initiative that celebrates young talent and their involvement with philanthropic and humanitarian causes, and encourages their fans around the world to get involved and give back too. The honorees this year were David Henrie, Shailene Woodley Bow Wow, Victoria Justice, and Justin Bieber. They are being honored for their work with LA's Best, All It Takes, Education Through Music, GirlUp, and Pencils of Promise, respectively.
Other stars in attendance included Chloe Bridges, Mark Wahlberg, Tiffany Thornton, Gregg Sulkin, Kendall Jenner, Chord Overstreet, Josie Loren, Ayla Kell, Ashley Benson, Mitchel Musso, Shane Harper, Taylor Spreitler and many many more. Check out the gallery to see all the stars.
Mark Walhberg's kids had a blast and were big fans of many of the young stars including David Henrie. He even posed for a cute picture with the girls.
Honoree Justin Bieber also had a big surprise for the organizers of the event. The 16-year-old star took the opportunity to show off his generosity by handing over hundreds of tickets to his sold-out concert in L.A. on tonight to the five charities that were honored.
The passes will be handed out to children who receive support from the various charities – and Bieber can't wait to perform for the special crowd. In a series of posts on his Twitter, he writes, "Best part was I got to surprise the charities being honored. My show tomorrow at the Staples Center in L.A. is sold out but we saved 500 tickets to give 100 each to each charity being honored to give to kids in need and let them have a fun night they deserve. I know what it's like to have some tough times so I hope those tickets make u kids coming smile a little. Gonna be a fun show."
We were on the "purple" carpet for the Power of Youth event. Stay tuned for that coverage.
