Funnyman Will Ferrell is eyeing a permanent desk job – he's hoping his upcoming turn in "The Office" will become a regular role.
Ferrell is to appear in four episodes of the sitcom's current season next month to fill the place left by outgoing star Steve Carell. The first preview premiered last week and Ferrell instantly became a trending topic.
And Ferrell has hinted his run in the show could be extended to a more permanent position once producers start looking at the future of the program.
Asked if he has a chance of becoming a full-time castmember, Ferrell tells the New York Daily News, "That's a very distinct possibility. It's looking good!"
Will's first episode premieres April 14.
