What an amazing story!
Not long ago, Ted Williams was a former radio announcer who had fallen on hard times. He spent his time panhandling on Interstate 71 in Columbus, OH hoping for spare change or an opportunity when something unexpected happened.
A reporter from the Columbia Dispatch did a roadside interview with Williams and it ended up on Youtube and became a sensation. The popularity of his radio voice attracted coverage from the Post and other TV news which led to an amazing opportunity.
Williams' "God-given gift of a great voice" has landed him a spot on a local radio show, a dream job with the Cleveland Cavaliers and a house. "The Cleveland Cavaliers just offered me a full-time job and a house! A house! A house!" Ted Williams said while appearing on a morning radio show in Columbus called " Dave and Jimmy."
How amazing is that. Sometimes miracles do happen. =)
